Gogglebox's Daniel Lustig speaks out on divorce as he spends day with Stephen

Former Gogglebox star Daniel Lustig has spoken out following the announcement his marriage to co-star Stephen Webb was over. The pair announced they were getting a divorce last night after six years of marriage.

In separate statements, the pair revealed they would still remain friends. And that is exactly what they are doing as the day after the announcement the pair spent the day together in their hometown of Brighton.

Daniel shared a video of him and Stephen riding a tandem bike together. He wrote: "Riding tandem straight out of this marriage." He captioned the post #bff, meaning best friends forever.

The pair were seen laughing and smiling together in the video. Fans rushed to offer their support. One wrote: "So sad that you are divorcing but hope you both can be amicable and remain friends."

"I hoped it was fake news. Wishing you both a lifelong friendship xx," a second commented. "Sad but wishing you both all the best!" a third echoed.

"So sad to read this ... love you two ... but wishing you both the happiness you deserve for the future xxx," another fan wrote. And a fifth added: "Oh lovey that's sad news. Sending you both love and hugs x"

The couple announced their divorce last night. Stephen told The Sun that there was still 'a lot of love' between them but they had decided to call it a day because they had 'grown apart'.

He said: “It’s with much sadness Daniel and I have decided to divorce. There is, and always will be, a lot of love there but we’ve unfortunately grown apart and made the decision to part ways."

Daniel also issued a statement, saying: “We’ve made the decision with a very heavy heart to confirm our marriage has come to an end. I’m sure we will forever be friends.”

Daniel joined original Gogglebox star Stephen on the sofa in 2019 before the pair announced they were leaving the Channel 4 show last year. Stephen previously appeared on the show with friend Chris Ashby-Steed and his late mum Pat.
