It's set to be a warm week in Greater Manchester - with temperatures climbing to 22C.

Mild temperatures are forecast in our region this week with 'more settled' conditions expected after the Bank Holiday weekend, according to Met Office forecasters. Today a mix of sunny intervals and cloudy conditions are expected, with the weather expected to stay dry.

Temperatures will reach highs of around 19C in the afternoon. Largely cloudy and dry conditions are then forecast for much of the rest of the week.

On Wednesday, Thursday and Friday in our region, the mercury will reach a high of around 20C. Forecasters predict Saturday will be the sunniest day in Greater Manchester, with the temperatures reaching 22C in the afternoon amid bright spells.

Sunday is also expected to be another dry, sunny and warm day. On the overall outlook for the North West from Thursday to Saturday, the Met Office said: "High pressure dominates for the rest of the week, bringing settled conditions and lots of dry weather.

"Plenty of warm sunshine and light winds. Mild overnight with fog patches possible."
