The radio host clocked up an incredible 246.3 miles in a mammoth challenge which saw him run, swim and cycle a triathlon a day, for five consecutive days, across five UK cities.

Having recently paid a visit to a Syrian refugee camp in Jordan, the DJ was so touched by what he saw there that he felt compelled to do something about it.

Every day this week Greg has completed a triathlon in five different UK cities as well as completing his Radio One drive-time show in the afternoon.

Battling through five different triathlons the 30 year old has encountered water of around 4 degrees with his swim in Glasgow leaving him nearly unable to move.

Despite this, he battled through the final day today in his university town of Norwich with help from YouTube star Jim Chapman who joined him for part of the race.

As Greg crossed the finish line he said: “Oh my God. We did it. Five triathlons in five days in five cities. It’s been the most ridiculous, ludicrous week ever. I wouldn’t have been able to do it without all of you. I can’t believe it’s happened.

It’s been the most amazing experience of my life. To everybody who donated, you’ve done it. You’ve made the difference and you’ve changed lives”

Throughout the week, Greg has been joined by a host of famous friends including his Radio One colleague Nick Grimshaw, Mollie Kin and pop star, Example who joined him for one of the swims.

Nick Grimshaw said “The run was brilliant. He was insanely positive because everyone is being so supportive – people come and cheer him on in the streets, beep from their cars, send messages - knowing that everyone is behind him really spurs him on. When he stops, the pain he’s going through really shows and we have all been worried about him. I feel proud that I know him”.
