Gunshots on busy West London road as crime scene in place and urgent hunt for shooters

A crime scene is in place in West London after police responded to reports of gunshots in the area. Police report that there were no injuries.

The police were called to Harrow Road, which runs through Kensal Green and Maida Vale, at 12.38pm today (May 24) to respond to calls of gunfire in the area. They found a number of shell cases with a shop shutter and window of house damaged.

The police conducted a search in the area to find those responsible but no suspects could be found. They have since set up a crime scene and are continuing to conduct urgent enquires to locate those involved.

A spokesperson for the police said: "Police were called at 12.28pm on Friday, May 24 to reports of shots fired in Harrow Road NW10. Officers responded. There were no reported injuries.

"An extensive area search was conducted but the suspects could not be found. Urgent enquiries to locate them are ongoing. A number of shell casings have been recovered.

"A shop shutter and a residential window had been damaged. A crime scene is in place and enquiries are ongoing."
