Yahoo News Hollyoaks exit for Zain Rizwaan as Jonas Khan bows out

Hollyoaks star Jonas Khan is set to exit the Channel 4 soap.
According to Metro, Hollyoaks has confirmed that the actor will bow out of his role as Zain Rizwaan after two years.
A Hollyoaks insider has also confirmed the news to Digital Spy, though further details regarding the character's exit storyline and when it will air are yet to be revealed.

Zain was first introduced in 2022 as Misbah Maalik's love interest, with the character coming to the Maalik family's aid when Misbah's son Imran began to lose faith following the family's ordeal with evil Ali Shahzad.
Zain and Misbah eventually tied the knot, though the couple have recently been going through a rough patch after Zain overheard Misbah telling Sharon that she feared there wasn't enough passion in their marriage.
Misbah and Zain were later forced to confront their relationship issues, but during the emotional talk, Zain suffered a stroke.
The news of Khan's upcoming departure follows a string of exits from Hollyoaks as the soap gets ready to move from five to three episodes a week in September, with cuts expected to both the number of cast and crew.
Stephanie Waring was axed from her role as Cindy Cunningham, while Sharon Bailey made her exit from the village last month after Jamelia turned down the offer of extending her contract for another year.
Speaking to Digital Spy about the cutbacks, Jamelia said: "It is such a scary time for everyone and I obviously feel for all of them.
"It's sad, but one of the most important things we can learn to do in our lifetime is to be able to pivot. That's something I'm an expert at! Something might not go a certain way, so it's: 'Okay, what's the other opportunity? What's the other thing that I can do?'"
Hollyoaks streams first online via Channel 4 each weekday at 7.30pm. Episodes then air on E4 the following day, before getting their YouTube premiere a week after that.
