Hollyoaks star says 'marriage is over' in major twist and quits village

Zain Rizwaan (Jonas Khan) has left Hollyoaks village for good after landing a job in Scotland.

Despite inviting his wife, Misbah Maalik (Harvey Virdi), to join him, she declined the offer during a heart-wrenching scene available on Channel 4's stream.

After a heartfelt chat, Misbah announced her dwindling love for him, leading the couple to acknowledge the end of their marriage.

Zain told Misbah that he "needed to go", exiting the village via taxi as his wife shed tears as she bid farewell to her partner for the last time kin tear-jerking scenes which will air on E4 on Wednesday (July 3).

Despite Misbah's sombre goodbye, Dillon Ray (Nathanial Dass) is overjoyed that he can now stay in the village with his partner, Lucas Hay (Oscar Curtis).

However, Zain isn't the only resident choosing to depart from Chester this week. During the episode aired on July 1, Warren Fox (Jamie Lomas) and Mercedes McQueen (Jennifer Metcalfe) decide to relocate following a near-fatality caused by a mysterious gun wielder.

Norma Crow (Glynis Barber) urged her son Warren to take refuge and implored pregnant Mercedes to accompany him. The pair later headed towards the Lake District, escaping imminent danger while hinting at an impending reconciliation, reports the Daily Star.

Warren has recently found himself in the crosshairs after supplying a batch of questionable pills that led to the unfortunate deaths of Lizzie Chen-Williams and Hunter McQueen.

His problems escalated last week when he was shot by an unknown attacker - luckily, he was wearing a bulletproof vest and escaped unscathed.

As Warren attempted to uncover information about his assailant, it was later disclosed that his adversary Freddie Roscoe (Charlie Clapham) had been concealing a firearm in his bag. The question remains, will Norma be able to identify Warren's attacker while he's absent?

Hollyoaks airs weeknights on E4 at 7pm and first look episodes can be streamed Channel 4 at 7.30pm
