POLICE are investigating more reports of anti-social behaviour in the vicinity of a closed pub building.

Earlier this week, Cheshire Police warned parents to know where their children are and what they are up to after reports of misbehaviour at the Jolly Falstaff pub.

The boarded up pub in Padgate has become a magnet for anti-social behaviour since closing, with youths moved on from the site on Friday.

Now, officers say they are investigating an incident in the vicinity last night, Tuesday, in which three youths threw a brick through a car window.

Shockingly, a woman was sat inside the parked car at the time making a phone call.

The force’s Poulton North Police team said: “Passing attention will continue to be made in the coming weeks to The Jolly Fallstaff and the surrounding area.

“This is due to a number of incidents involving youths recently.

“Last night, a brick was thrown through a car window while the female driver was still in the vehicle making a phone call.

“Three male youths were seen running from the area.

“If you live in the area, please check any CCTV you may have between the hours of 9.30pm and 9.45pm.

“If you have information regarding this incident, please call 101, quoting IML1861449.

“Can we please ask parents to ask their children to stay away from this building.”
