Hotly anticipated Sunderland venue Sheepfolds Stables on the hunt for funk DJs and full-time staff

Sunderland’s most anticipated events venue, Sheepfolds Stables, is on the lookout for staff and DJs as it prepares to open up this summer.

The multi-million pound leisure development is currently looking for full and part-time staff for weekday, evening and weekend roles including bar servers, glass collectors, cellar and cleaning vacancies. Management is also looking for resident DJs to entertain guests, specifically those playing funk, soul, chart and disco music.

Sheepfolds Stables, located next to the Stadium of Light, is tipped to become an extremely popular social destination in the city and as well as the wider North East. It anticipated it will boost the local hospitality sector by creating up to 100 jobs directly as well as within the supply chain.

The venue includes a diverse range of high quality, independent food and drink operators including Ember, The Calabash Tree, Vito’s Osteria and I Scream for Pizza, as well as a micro-brewery and whiskey and cigar lounge, Spey Snug. Other occupiers include Southpaw Dance Studio.

Nigel Wood, General Manager of Operations at Sheepfolds Stables, explained, “We’re now actively looking for exceptional staff to come and join our hospitality team and be part of this amazing new venue. There are a variety of roles available, each offering different hours and shifts, on both a full and part-time basis, so we anticipate a high level of interest in these vacancies.

“Whilst experience is beneficial, it is not essential as comprehensive training will be given. People of all ages are encouraged to apply so we’re asking anyone interested to visit our website and get in touch as soon as possible.”

Roles currently being advertised are for the venue’s main bar, hospitality and events areas, with independent occupiers expected to advertise separately over the forthcoming weeks.
