Jordan North has finally found his “happy place” on I’m A Celebrity when he took on his first solo trial - and won all 12 stars.

North has been voted into all four trials so far by the ITV series’ viewers, thanks to his extreme reactions to peril including shouting “happy place Turf Moor” repeatedly, and vomiting off the side of a cliff.

But in his first solo trial, Radio 1 DJ North proved that his nerves wouldn’t hold him back by winning all 12 stars and feeding every person in camp.

He faced another of his fears, confined spaces, in a trial that saw him sent into an underground tunnel with thousands of bugs and critters.

Calling on his happy place, Burnley’s home ground Turf Moor, again throughout the trial, he came out of the tunnel thinking he’d been unable to find the final star in the last minute, but then realised that he’d miscounted and it was already in his bag.

After he shared his happy news back at camp, Vernon Kay said: “He’s come back with 12 stars but most importantly of all he came back a completely different person.”

Jessica Plummer added: “We’re just so proud of him. Forget the food, it’s not about the food. Jordan, vomit off the side of a cliff edge Jordan, got a full house all by himself. It’s incredible.”

However, the campmates may have been a little premature in their celebrations as when the dinner basket arrived, it turned out that North had won squirrel.

Although it could have been worse, as North completely misread jumbo shitake mushrooms as he announced the menu to the rest of camp.

I’m A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! continues tomorrow night at 9pm on ITV.
