Followers of a Leeds United persuasion will be keeping a close eye on events at the Coventry Building Society Arena tomorrow night. A positive result for Ipswich Town against Coventry City will see them leapfrog the Whites into second position.

But Tractor Boys boss Kieran McKenna is sweating over the availability of one of his best players. Attacking left-back Leif Davis is to be assessed after sustaining a knock in the closing stages of their thrilling 3-3 draw at Hull City on Saturday.

Speaking after the pulsating Championship clash, McKenna said: "He's limping pretty heavily. He rolled his ankle. It's an issue he's had before. We'll have to assess him over the next few days."

It would be a big blow for Town if Davis is ruled out for the run-in. The defender has contributed a remarkable 18 assists in their top-two push this season. He was replaced at the back by Harry Clarke as the Tigers fought back from behind three times to earn a share of the spoils.

The result leaves McKenna's team still requiring four points from their final two matches to guarantee automatic promotion. The Tractor Boys are seeking back-to-back promotions and a return to the Premier League for the first time in almost a quarter of a century.

FA Cup semi-finalists Coventry are ninth in the table after accumulating 64 points. They have lost four times in their own backyard this season. They have beaten Leicester City and Leeds at home in 2024.
