ITV has given an update on Endeavour star Shaun Evans' new TV crime drama.

It is over a year since the final episode of ITV's Inspector Morse prequel Endeavour was screened with the March 12, 2023 episode watched by millions of viewers.

This brought an end to the franchise which started with the Oxford-based Inspector Morse series in the 1980s, based on the novels of Colin Dexter.

A new crime drama starring Shaun Evans is expected to be shown later this year on ITV with early predictions rumouring it to be scheduled for the first half of the year.

Until I Kill You will star the Liverpool-born actor alongside Line of Duty and Motherland star Anna Maxwell Martin.

It has been confirmed by ITV that the drama will be shown later this year and later than the initial expected release date.

A spokesperson for ITV told the Oxford Mail: “It will air later this year.”

The ITV press office also added that they should be able to reveal more after the summer indicating that the show may be broadcast in autumn.

The series, which was in production under the working title Delia Balmer, will explore the story of Delia who survived a near-fatal relationship with murderer John Sweeney.
