ITV Coronation Street's Lucy Fallon supported as she breaks down in tears over 'worst time of life'

ITV Coronation Street’s Lucy Fallon has broken down in tears as she reveals "the worst time of her life". ITV soap star Lucy, who returned as Bethany Platt at Christmas, was seen emotional during a heartbreaking interview on her new reality TV show.

Lucy opened up on the horrific ordeal during an episode of Drama Queens. Lucy broke down as she discussed her miscarriage, before she and Ryan went onto welcome a healthy baby son called Sonny Jude in January 2023.

In the heartbreaking scene, she says: "In the first year that Ryan and me were together we fell pregnant and we were really, really excited. We booked a scan and..." Fighting back tears, the soap star then said: "I feel like I'm going to get upset."

Lucy went on in the emotional scenes on ITVBe Drama Queens and explained: "We went for the first scan and I didn't expect that anything would be wrong and she [the nurse] told us that there was no heartbeat and the baby had died."

The Corrie star explained: "I just feel like because we had experienced some harder times before we had Sonny and I think when I was pregnant with Sonny I was filled with so much anxiety. To kind of look back and think 'wow what we've created' it just feels even more special."

In a heartbreaking admission back in 2022, Lucy revealed she 'never thought something like this would happen to her', adding that the experience was "really horrible to deal with". However, she praised her partner Ryan for being "so supportive".

Lucy was sent into surgery to remove the pregnancy tissue, but thankfully Ryan was able to be by his partner’s side. After the heartbreak, the pair had been on holiday in the Maldives when Lucy's pregnancy test came back positive with Sonny.
