Jake Gyllenhaal reveals he's a 'Bake Off' fan who 'adores' Prue Leith
Jake Gyllenhaal has shared that he's a big fan of The Great British Bake Off and "adores" judge Dame Prue Leith.
In a new interview with the PA news agency, the 40-year-old actor shared that he had been working on his own cooking skills during lockdown.
However, he ruled out the possibility of ever appearing on a baking show as there's "nothing that can beat" Bake Off, which is known in the US as The Great British Baking Show.

Asked if he would take part in such a programme, the Donnie Darko star said: “In my mind, there’s literally nothing that can beat The Great British Baking Show. So no, the answer to that is no. But I do hope to one day meet Paul Hollywood.

“Though Prue is my favourite. I’m mesmerised by her spectacles. Her coats or spectacles change and it’s almost as if they change every shot.
“Or do they change every show? I can’t figure it out. And I just adore her. Prue’s fantastic. I do really love Mr Hollywood, but you know, she’s amazing.”
Gyllenhaal isn't the only Hollywood star to have have professed their love for the quaint competition as David Schwimmer, Anna Kendrick and Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson.
While the programme gained popularity through its original civilian series, Channel 4 has hosted several celebrity versions to raise funds and awareness for Stand Up 2 Cancer.
There have been four starry series of the spin-off so far, with big names like Star Wars' Daisy Ridley, Little Mix singer Jade Thirlwall and His Dark Materials actor James McAvoy competing in the most recent season.
