Yahoo News Jim Parsons teases Young Sheldon cameo with Iain Armitage
Jim Parsons has confirmed his Young Sheldon cameo with a TikTok video straight from the set of the spin-off.
The Big Bang Theory star reprises the role of Sheldon Cooper on the seventh and final season of Young Sheldon, focused on the childhood years of the character, here played by Iain Armitage.
Parsons recently joined Armitage on set, with the duo posting a TikTok video and joking about a filter that predicts what you will look like when you age.

"Apparently there's a new filter that shows you how you look like when you grow up," Armitage tells followers, adding: "I don't know how accurate it is going to be, but let me try it out."
After blocking the camera, a smooth transition reveals Parsons, who looks puzzled as he examines his appearance.
"I'm not sure about this," he jokes.
"Oh, it changes your voice too," he continues, finally adding: "I don't like it."

Parsons previously commented on appearing on Young Sheldon, which he has narrated since season 1. He's due to star in the series finale alongside Mayim Bialik, who played Amy Farrah Fowler on Big Bang Theory.
"Big Bang Theory was always a live-audience show and Young Sheldon is a single-camera show, and I got to do it with Mayim — we both played Sheldon and Amy from the series — and to do it in that situation, it was just different enough that it wasn't creepy," he said during an appearance on the Today show.
"Like going like, 'What are we doing here again?!' Instead, it was really sweet.
"It felt like the nicest little coda to the whole experience, and I was very grateful that they asked us to do it."
Young Sheldon airs on CBS in the US and E4 in the UK, while you can buy The Big Bang Theory complete boxset now on DVD and Blu-ray.
