Jittery Celtic regulars smell something stinky as pungent Rangers paranoia engulfs extra bonkers Hotline

It's crunch time in the Scottish Premiership title race and this weekend sees the games before the gargantuan one on May 11.

And the feeling in cinch circles is that either Celtic or Rangers could stumble given their respective opposition this weekend. Celtic host Hearts having lost home and away in their last two meetings with Steven Naismith's side, while Philippe Clement takes his team to Kilmarnock on Sunday, where the season started so badly for Michael Beale.

Of course, the agendas are always bubbling under and Naismith's shared Ibrox past with Derek McInnes is raising Celts' suspicions, in the Jambos' case mainly based on their rotten record against Rangers this season. Manager of the year nominee McInnes insists Killie can't help who wins the title, but those hoping for a third title triumph at Celtic Park aren't having it. John Caw emailed: "How can McInnes refute that they can’t help who wins title. Both he and Naismith are former Ibrox men. I am sure if they can’t win it they have a say who can. I know which team they won’t help." What John is forgetting, of course, is McInnes masterminded a victory over Rangers on the first day of the season.

Gary Stevenson, Newtonhill, wants one Celtic in particular to come out and say what he thinks. He said: "Why doesn't Kenny Wilson from Moffat just come out and say it. If he thinks that both Hearts and Kilmarnock will not try as hard to beat Rangers. Don't go around the houses. If he thinks that cheating is going on in Scottish football surely he has the bravado to say it. Always cheated, never defeated (again and again)."

Scott Mcadam, Partick, is contemplating a Hearts lucky dip. He said: "I wonder which Hearts team will turn up on Saturday? Will it be the third best team in the league or will it be the same one that's had five goes at beating their cousins and not laid a glove on them? I think we all know it will be the one that only plays against Celtic."

Jimmy Murray, Edinburgh, wants Rangers to go unbeaten for the rest of the season in order to get Brendan Rodgers out the door at Parkhead. His crime? Ruining Kyogo. He said: "Well done Brendan. You and your second rate coaches have completely destroyed a fantastic striker in Kyogo Furuhashi. I hope Rangers go unbeaten for the rest of the season. If that's what it takes to get rid of yourself, Kennedy and Strachan, it’s well worth it."

Meanwhile, Dundee are set to plough cash into their dodgy pitch to fix it once and for all this summer. But some still can't let that postponement fiasco go. John Scott, Grassmoor, said: "We really have been too soft with Dundee FC haven't we? Purely for the embarrassment they have caused our game they should be booted out of the SPFL. In fact, in an ideal world Buckie should replace them. So what if they haven't taken the time or effort to gain Bronze membership when Dundee deliberately have a pitch not meeting SPFL standards.

"Forget about the money in fines and compensation which could have been spent on drainage. They fully deserve to be sanctioned. Especially so, forcing Rangers to spend two nights in the dire surroundings of St Andrews. Oh, the humanity."
