JOBS have been created as a renewable energy wholesaler has opened a new branch in Ferndown.

HDM Solar supplies renewable energy solar systems and electric vehicle chargers across the country and recently moved into a new base in Ferndown Industrial Estate.

Six people have been employed at the branch and the business has said more will be recruited in the coming weeks.

An official launch day will take place for the new Hull-based business on Friday, May 10 between 10am and 2pm.

HDM Solar has invested £10.2m in rolling out a nationwide network of branches, including 60 across the country and a targeted five new sites operating by the end of 2024.

Tayah Betambeau, manager of the Bournemouth branch of HDM Solar, said: “Before opening our branch here, HDM Solar already had a significant number of customers in the Bournemouth area, so it is great to support them with our new branch on the Ferndown Industrial Estate.

“DM Solar founder Daniel Rogers is also originally from Bournemouth, so there is quite a Bournemouth connection.”

She added: “At our Bournemouth branch, we provide our customers with great value products, free in-person and online technical advice, same-day or next-day delivery, collection points at our Ferndown warehouse, and funding schemes, all backed up by our excellent customer service levels.”
