Julia Bradbury has undergone a new treatment following her breast cancer battle.

The TV presenter shared her diagnosis in 2021 and later underwent a mastectomy. Speaking exclusively to the ECHO this week, Julia said she saw her cancer as an "opportunity to reset" her health and mindset.

She said: "I was living at breakneck speed, juggling kids and work, or before the children I was jetting across time zones, drinking a lot, eating a lot of sugar. I didn't pay attention to what I was eating, I'd have the odd vegetable and salad but that was it.

"I was burning the candle at both ends".

Julia's cancer has been in remission for two years, and doctors have said there is "no sign of disease". The ITV This Morning star said she now focuses on what she can do to prevent the cancer from returning.

She said: "I look at what I can do for myself, and I find that empowering and motivating. I'm staying healthy and being fully present for my children, living the best life that I can".

Julia recently underwent a blood biopsy, a new treatment that can detect circulating tumour cells in the blood. Thankfully, none of these were present for Julia.

The 53-year-old, who is known for her love of walking in nature and her programmes on the subject, is always keen to promote the health benefits of the great outdoors. Her recently published book Walk Yourself Happy was a Sunday Times bestseller.

And now she wants to take things a step further to better help people. She said she is "dipping her toes" in running retreats after the book had such a great response.

The Walk Yourself Happy retreats will be run by Julia, as well as experts in movement and play, breathwork, nourishment, and sound therapy - all of the things Julia practises in her own life to feel her best.

Julia is heading to Frodsham this weekend for the town's 20th Festival of Walks. Those who attend the festival later today (Sunday) will be able to meet Julia and take a walk with her through the former golf course, which has now been "rewilded" by the Woodland Trust.
