This year's elections are to be held on Thursday, May 2 and in Kent voters in both Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells will be voting to fill whole councils after boundary changes.
There are no borough council votes this year in Ashford, Canterbury, Dover, Dartford, Folkestone and Hythe, Gravesham, Medway, Sevenoaks, Thanet or Tonbridge and Malling.

However, there are Police and Crime Commissioner Elections across Kent and you can read more details here.
Due to boundary changes the elections in both Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells are "all-in". This means that every seat on the council is up for grabs.
In Maidstone, the number of councillors is being reduced from 55 to 49 while in Tunbridge Wells the number of councillors is being reduced from 48 to 39.
Maidstone Borough Council is currently in no overall control but the Conservatives are the largest party. The 55 seats are taken by 25 Conservatives, 12 Lib Dems, 6 Independents, 6 Green Independent Allianced, 4 Labour and 2 Fant and Oakwood Independents.
Tunbridge Wells Borough Council is also currently in no overall control but with the Lib Dems as the largest party. The 48 seats are taken by 17 Lib Dems, 11 Conservatives, 9 Tunbridge Wells Alliance, 7 Labour, two unaligned Independents and two Independents for Tunbridge Wells.
When are results expected?
Both Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells will begin counting votes the day after polling day on Friday, May 3. Information on PA suggests that Maidstone expects to have declared all results by 3pm with Tunbridge Wells expecting results by 4pm.
