It could be all change on Maidstone Borough Council after the 2024 Local Elections as boundary changes mean that every seat on the council is up for grabs.

The number of councillors has been reduced by six, from 55 to 49, with each ward in the borough electing between one and three members depending on population size.

The council is currently in no overall control with the Conservatives as the largest party. The 55 seats are taken by 25 Conservatives, 12 Lib Dems, 6 Independents, 6 Green Independent Allianced, 4 Labour and 2 Fant and Oakwood Independents. 25 seats will be required if any party wants to take control of the council.

When are results expected?

It is expected that full results will be declared for Maidstone Borough Council at around 3pm on Friday, May 3.
