Kimberley said: “I am absolutely thrilled to be getting my dancing shoes on again for the Strictly Christmas special.

“I loved my time on Strictly so much so it’s going to be wonderful to be back in the Strictly bubble for Christmas!”

Robbie was paired with Ola Jordan on the show six years ago, but was eliminated in week 10, and he’s warned viewers not to expect much improvement when he makes his comeback alongside new Australian dancing professional Dianne Buswell next month.

He said: “It’s been six years since I was on the show and I am still as bad as I was then! I’m looking forward to getting back on the Strictly dancefloor.”

The special episode – which will air on Christmas Day – will also feature Judy Murray, the mother of tennis superstar Andy Murray, former athlete Colin Jackson, newsreader Katie Derham, and radio host Jeremy Vine.

Judy said: “I’m thrilled to bits to be part of Strictly’s Christmas special. I promise to be every bit as bad as before and to enjoy it every bit as much.”

Colin – who reached the final in 2005 – “I am thrilled to be returning to Strictly for this year’s Christmas Special. Some time has passed since I danced my way to the final, however I’m looking forward to dusting off my dancing shoes and returning once again.”

Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman will host the festive edition of the programme, while the usual judges – Craig Revel Horwood, Darcey Bussell, Bruno Tonioli, and Shirley Ballas – will be giving out marks to the returning celebs.
