Yahoo News Leeds United told Coventry City transfer would be a 'good addition'
Callum O’Hare’s future remains uncertain other than the fact that he’s expected to walk away from Coventry City as a free agent when his contract runs out at the end of this month.
The 26-year-old has been linked with a number of clubs after five successful years with the Sky Blues, following his free transfer from Aston Villa in the summer of 2020, having enjoyed a season-long loan from the Premier League club where he came up through the youth ranks.
The player clearly has ambitions to return to the top flight and so far West Ham and newly promoted Southampton have been linked along with relegated Burnley and play-off finalists Leeds United from the Championship. The latter, of course, will be among the favourites to gain promotion next term, and may prove to be a tempting top flight stepping stone for O’Hare.

Meanwhile, Scottish giants Celtic and Rangers have also been the subject of speculation about the attacking midfielder who was offered a new deal at the CBS Arena. But despite Mark Robins joking at the end of the season that he was still trying to convince O’Hare to stay, it looks increasingly likely that he’ll be moving on in the coming weeks.
And former England and Leeds goalkeeper Paul Robinson is convinced he’d be a “good addition” at Elland Road.
“Leeds are going to be linked with a lot of free transfers because of the financial situation they’re in at the moment,” he told MOT Leeds News.
“He’s a good player. He’s had a couple of very, very good seasons at Coventry City.
“They came very close to getting into the Premier League two seasons ago, narrowly missing out. He’s played regularly at that level, he’s experienced and started his young career at Aston Villa. He knows the Championship and he’s a good quality player. It would be a good addition if Leeds can secure him on a free transfer. We can sit and speculate on Leeds’ incomings for as long as we want, but the biggest thing is in the outgoings.
“It’s easy to identify positions that need addressing in an ideal world but we’re not in an ideal world. Players are going to leave. So, players like O’Hare are going to be linked but until they know which gaps need plugging, it’s difficult to speculate.”
