I left Andy Carroll a furious X-rated note for what he did outside my pizza place

Former Newcastle United striker Andy Carroll once found himself in hot water with a local restaurant owner after parking his wheels where they didn't belong.

Carroll, 35, was in the middle of his second spell at St. James' Park when he ran afoul of Calvin Kitchin in September 2020. His crime was taking up two private spaces with his bright green Mercedes-AMG GT R behind Cal's Own Pizza in Newcastle suburb of Jesmond.

Kitchin was less than pleased to find Carroll's vehicle on his property without permission, never mind taking up two bays. And he didn't let the matter slide as he left a strongly worded note attached to Carroll's windshield expressing his displeasure, per the Daily Express.

"Listen you rich f*****g c***, you have a nice car I'll give you that," read the hand-written retort. "Otherwise, I pay £42,000-a-year for my lease. If you were to come into my restaurant and ask if you could use my parking to park nicely, me or my staff would probably say yes. Hence why you can't just be nice and take what you want."

Carroll, who currently plays for Amiens in Ligue 2 after leaving Reading last year, appeared unfazed by the incident. He later posted a picture of the note on his Instagram account with a laughing emoji and the caption: "Didn't like your pizza anyway.

While Kitchin's claimed he didn't know who owned the car, Carroll's actions may have just cost him a supporter. Kitchin expressed to ChronicleLive that the local celeb had never visited his pizza parlour, which might have eased any tensions.

"What would be civilised is to come [inside] and ask if he could park his massive car, especially when there is plenty of on-street parking," he said. "He took up two spaces - what if a disabled customer came? There is a parking meter down the road which barely costs anything anyway."

According to the Liverpool Echo, ex-Liverpool and Newcastle boss Rafa Benitez was a frequent patron of Cal's Own during his tenure on Merseyside. Now at home in France's second tier, Carroll is more likely to encounter issues with a boulangerie than a pizzeria.

His debut season in France saw him netting just four times in 33 games, with one year remaining on his contract. Meanwhile, Cal's Own Pizza has since shut its doors.
