EastEnders fan Lord Sugar has shared his thoughts on Alfie Moon's return - saying some of it was a "bit naff".

The businessman, 75, is a big fan of the BBC soap and sometimes comments on the plot on Twitter.

He has now weighed in after Alfie (Shane Richie) returned to Albert Square on Kat's (Jessie Wallace) wedding day, claiming he noticed that "a load of Sugar style funny/sarcastic one liners" had been introduced.

Lord Sugar also confessed that he had struggled to keep up as it seemed like Alfie had just appeared - but later conceded that he might have missed a bit because of schedule changes in the wake of the Queen's death.

He tweeted: "Trying to keep up with @bbceastenders they must have a new production team. Unless I missed it the re introduction of Alfie. He just appeared.

"I notice a load of Sugar style funny/sarcastic one liners introduced.

"Alfie's boat and delay of the wedding... come off it a bit naff."

Fans of the soap were quick to correct The Apprentice star, pointing out that one of Kat's children had texted Alfie and that was why he came back.

"I think you’ve just missed an episode or turned off too early, his arrival was a pretty big duff duff I believe," one viewer said.

The TV star then tweeted: "Ok you maybe right. I didn’t see the twins text him.

"The schedule has been hard to follow live in view of all the Royal stuff."

"I guess I will have to get into the 21st century and use @BBCiPlayer," Lord Sugar added.
