Lorraine tells Craig Lawson he's been 'mugged off' on Love Island

Lorraine made viewers snigger today when she told Love Island’s Craig Lawson that he’d been well and truly “mugged off” by his on-screen partner Camilla Thurlow.

The personal trainer was a shoulder to cry on when Camilla was jilted by Jonny Mitchell and the pair then became an item, but she swiftly moved on with Jamie Jewitt when Craig was voted out of the luxury villa.

Craig was one of six male newcomers drafted into the show to stir things up last week and he made a beeline for the Scottish beauty, who boasts Prince Harry as an ex.

Appearing on ‘Lorraine’ earlier today, Craig said: “My feelings were genuine for her in the villa, there’s only so much you can do if someone doesn’t want you you can’t keep on trying you.”

Adding, “I can’t be a love sick puppy at home. I wish her all the best.”

But the quick thinking presenter chimed “You got mugged off!” before exploding into a fit of giggles.

Luckily, Craig didn’t take offence and laughed along before sheepishly saying: “She was the Scottish princess, I wanted to make her a Scottish queen.”

Viewers were desperate to see Camilla and Jamie, a former Calvin Klein model, kiss on the hit ITV2 show and flocked to Twitter last night to celebrate when it finally happened.

Meanwhile, Craig commented on reports that he’d dumped the mother of his children to go onto the reality show and insisted they were false, but said he wasn’t allowed to defend himself at the time.

“I don’t regret going in. We did split up, but eight months ago. It made it sound like we split up and I left my kids. You’re sworn to secrecy before the show so I couldn’t explain.

“She’s amazing mum I wouldn’t want to take that from her but it wasn’t how it was made out”

He added: “My son is one years old and he wouldn’t know the difference if I told him.”

Love Island continues on ITV2 at 9pm tonight.
