M&S shoppers warned to check freezers and 'do not eat' products
Marks and Spencer has warned all customers that they should not eat certain products they may have bought due to health risks.
A notice to M&S customers stated: "Customer safety is of paramount importance to Marks & Spencer, and we take all issues regarding the production of our foods extremely seriously. Marks & Spencer is taking the precautionary action of highlighting that 4 fresh cooked poultry products that are past their use by date, but maty be in customers freezers, should be returned to store, due to a low microbiological risk."
It was stressed in the note that "no products currently on sale are affected". Only the date codes show below are potentially impacted:

The recall notice added: "Any customers in possession of these products in their freezer, please do not consume. Return it to your nearest store where a full refund will be given.
"We apologise to our customers for any inconvenience caused. For more information, contact us on 03330 148555."
