Married at First Sight Australia star Lauren Dunn has revealed what went on behind the big Jono McCullough and Ellie Dix twist at the reunion.

The latest season of the Aussie show saw quite the shake-up after Lauren and Jono parted ways on Final Decisions day. At the reunion, Jono and Ellie, who had taken part in the experiment with Ben Walters but left before the final vows, confirmed they were seeing each other.

In a recent interview, Lauren explained there was no bad blood between her and ex-husband Jono, despite he didn't let her know he'd attend the reunion with Ellie.

"Jono and I stayed in contact and I let him know that I support him and Ellie and they're a way better match," she told Pedestrian.

"It's all good and every time we talk, she'd be there and kind of be listening. She never apologised to me or anything but it was all good," she continued.

However, it seems that while the trio currently don't speak, Lauren has insisted there's no issue.

"It wasn't until… some other stuff has gone down and I don't really speak to Jono and Ellie at all anymore but in my mind, it's all good," she said.

"I really don't have an issue and I don't actually think about them, to be honest."

Lauren also claimed that the trailer for the reunion made the new couple reveal seem more dramatic than it actually was.

"I knew they were going to be together, my gut told me that but no-one told me, not even them. Jono didn't even slip me a text to give me the heads-up," she said.

"After that all happened, and me and Jono had words, we actually had a good night together," she continued.

"The trailer made it a little bit more sinister but we actually all end up having a good night and we actually could talk about that with the experts on the couch the next day."
