Maidstone stabbing victim named as woman charged with murder by Kent Police

The victim of a fatal stabbing near Maidstone has been named as police have now charged a suspect with murder. In the early hours of Tuesday, July 2, Jack Cadwallader was reportedly assaulted outside of a property on Southfields Way in Harrietsham.

A large emergency services response, including officers from Kent Police and South East Coast Ambulance Service crews, rushed to the scene at around 1.30am. Mr Cadwallader, 25, was then taken to a hospital for further medical treatment.

Despite the best efforts of the emergency services, Jack was later confirmed deceased at the hospital. Police subsequently arrested a man and a woman, who were both known to the victim, and took them into custody.

The woman, 19-year-old Paige Poulton, has now been charged with the murder of Jack Cadwallader. A spokesperson for Kent Police said: “Ms Poulton, 19, of Southey Road, Haringey, London will appear before Margate Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 3 July.

“An investigation is being led by the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate and a man who was also arrested has now been released without charge.”
