Man arrested following knife incident in public gardens

A man has been arrested following a knife incident in a public garden.

Police were called to Upperton Gardens in Eastbourne on June 26 at around 5.50am following reports of a man being in possession of a knife.

A 49-year-old man from Eastbourne was arrested on suspicion of carrying a knife and has since been released on bail pending further enquiries.

Police are appealing for more information on the incident and have asked witnesses and anyone with information or footage to report it online or call 101 referencing serial 0212 of 26/06.
