Man charged after 'sex attack' at Green Day's Glasgow gig

A man has been arrested following a "sex attack" at Green Day's gig in Glasgow.

The iconic rock band took the stage at Bellahouston Park in the Southside on Tuesday, June 25.

Following the concert, police have revealed two arrests were made at the event.

One of the arrests was a 27-year-old man, police say.

He was arrested and charged in connection with an alleged sexual assault on a woman.

The force says he was released on an undertaking to appear in court at a later date.

Meanwhile, officers say a 53-year-old man was also arrested at the gig.

Police say he was arrested and charged in connection with an alleged breach of the peace.

He was also released on an undertaking to appear in court at a later date.

A report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “At the Green Day concert at Bellahouston Park, Glasgow on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, two men were arrested.

“A 53-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with a breach of the peace.

"He was released on an undertaking to appear at court at a later date.

“A 27-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with a sexual assault on a woman.

"He was released on an undertaking to appear at court at a later date.

“A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
