Manchester City will be expecting to claim all three points in their upcoming Premier League clash with Wolves.

Pep Guardiola's side will take on the West Midlands club on Saturday evening, at which point Arsenal's result in their game with Bournemouth will already have become clear.

City currently trail the Gunners by a single point, though do have a game in hand on their title challengers, and Guardiola has repeatedly stated the Sky Blues will need to win each of their remaining fixtures to become the first club to win the English top-flight title four years in succession.

Guardiola is set to continue with Ederson between the sticks for the visit of Wolves, with the Brazilian's injury at Nottingham Forest not as serious as first feared. "It looked worse than it is. He trained yesterday and feels good," the City boss told reporters on Friday afternoon.

There is also good news in defence as Ruben Dias has recovered from his illness, along with Phil Foden. Both players were left out of the matchday squad for Sunday's win at Forest.

It means City are likely to set up with a backline of Ederson, Dias, Nathan Ake, Josko Gvardiol and Kyle Walker. Gvardiol has become an increasingly important player, meanwhile Walker has returned to form after some questionable displays earlier this season.

In midfield, Rodri remains the first name on the teamsheet and will slot straight in his usual role. The Spaniard is likely to be joined by Kevin De Bruyne, Mateo Kovacic, operating in front of his deeper-lying position.

Ahead of them, Bernardo Silva, Erling Haaland and Phil Foden can form the City attack. This will result in Jeremy Doku and Jack Grealish dropping down to the bench. Haaland was left out of the starting eleven last Sunday before later coming on to score, though Guardiola has made clear the Norwegian is ready to feature from the off.

"When everyone is fit they have to be ready," said the City boss. "We don’t exactly know what they will do tomorrow. We need to see the last games from Wolves. [We had] days off and three really good training sessions, as always. Fresh the mind and tactics with little details. But at this stage there is not much to talk about tactics. Fresh minds and get legs ready for the game tomorrow."

City predicted line-up vs Wolves: Ederson; Walker, Ake, Dias, Gvardiol; Rodri, Kovacic, De Bruyne; Bernardo, Haaland, Foden.
