Man taken to hospital in serious Tetbury crash

A man has been taken to hospital after a serious crash in Gloucestershire. The collision, involving two vehicles, closed the A46 in Tetbury during the early hours of this morning (June 17) while emergency services attended the scene.

Gloucestershire Police were called to the A46 Grumbolds Ash at around 5.40am. A black Nissan Qashqai and grey Peugeot boxer van were involved in a collision at the crossroads for the A4135.

Paramedics assessed the occupants of both vehicles and one man in his 30s was taken to Bath Hospital for treatment. Both the A46 and the A4135 were closed at the crossroads while emergency services were at the scene, before reopening by the late-morning.

Gloucestershire Police are now appealing for anyone who witnessed the crash to get in touch. A spokesperson for the force said: "Police were called to the A46 Grumbolds Ash in Tetbury at 5.40am this morning (Monday 17 June) following reports of a serious collision.

"The collision, which involved a black Nissan Qashqai and grey Peugeot boxer van, took place at the cross roads for the A4135.

"The occupants of both vehicles were assessed by paramedics and a man in his 30s was taken to Bath Hospital for treatment.

"Road closures were put into place while emergency services remained at the scene. The road has since reopened

"Anyone who witnessed the collision but has not yet spoken to police is asked to submit information by completing the following online form quoting incident 47 of 17 June."
