Fire crews called to barn blaze in Norfolk village

Fire crews were called to the scene of a barn blaze in a Norfolk village on Monday.

Reports of a barn filled with hay catching alight in Snetterton were made to emergency services at 12.28pm.

Engines from Attleborough, East Harling, Watton, Wymondham, Hethersett, Earlham and Carrow attended the fire on Chalk Lane.

Firefighters wore breathing apparatus and used main jets and hose reel jets to extinguish the fire.

They received their stop message at 12.45am on Tuesday but stayed overnight to keep watch.

It is not known what the nature of the fire was.
