A man has been taken to hospital after a crash involving a taxi. Police were called to reports of the crash in Swinton last night (June 7).

According to GMP, a car and a taxi collided in Manchester Road. The force received reports of the collision at around 11.50pm.

Pictures from the scene show extensive damage to the front of both vehicles. Police officers were also pictured at the scene.

A man was taken to hospital but his injuries are not life-threatening. No arrests have been made yet, but enquiries are ongoing.

A GMP spokesperson said: "At around 11:50pm last night (7 June 2024), police were called to reports of a collision on Manchester Road in Swinton. Enquiries are ongoing and no arrests have been made at this time.

"One man was taken to hospital with injuries although thankfully these are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing."
