Met Office reveals bank holiday forecast for Devon

Devon is set for mixed weather during the upcoming bank holiday weekend. The Met Office is expecting the county to see periods of sun and rain with temperatures peaking at 17C.

The outlook shows mostly cloudy conditions on Saturday (May 25) with some sunny intervals and showers across the county. Both Okehampton and Plymouth could see rainfall while the mercury is expected to peak at 17C in Barnstaple.

The forecast is similar for Sunday (May 26) and Monday (May 27) as sunny intervals are separated by occasional light rain showers. Here is a breakdown of the Devon forecast for the upcoming bank holiday weekend, according to the Met Office.

Met Office 5-day forecast for the South West

Today: A dry and fine day on offer, though somewhat cloudy, however some sunny spells likely breaking through the cloud during the afternoon. Staying breezy around coasts. Temperatures a little lower than yesterday but still feeling warm in sunny interludes. Maximum temperature 16 °C.

Tonight: Some late evening sunshine on offer then overall a dry night with some clear spells. Easing winds and a cooler night compared to late. Minimum temperature 10 °C.

Friday: A pleasant end to the week with lots of dry weather and some warm sunny spells in light winds. Maximum temperature 17 °C.

Outlook for Saturday to Monday: A warm bank holiday weekend with plenty of fine and dry weather, once any early morning mist and fog clears. Perhaps the odd shower on Sunday.
