A morgue technician in Russia has been sacked after tests revealed he had sex with the corpse of a murdered reality star.

Oksana Aplekaeva, who appeared on Dom-2 – the Russian version of Big Brother – was murdered in 2008 and her body was found by a lorry driver on the side of a motorway.

Her killer has never been found but new information led police to exhume her body and carry out more detailed forensic tests.

DNA results showed that forensic morgue technician, known only as 37-year-old Alexander, had sex with Ms Aplekaeva’s body.

Alexander, still working at the morgue until the discovery of his actions, was forced to resign.

He said: “I could not argue against science. I have not been able to find a job for three months.”

He also claims that his wife left him and changed her phone number.

Alexander worked for the morgue for 12 years and there was no suggestion in that he had interfered with other corpses during that time.

Russian media reports that Alexander cannot be punished as there is no law in the country that deals with such incidents.

Despite his actions, police ruled out Alexander having anything to do with Ms Aplekaeva’s murder.

The still-unidentified killer is believed to have thrown Ms Aplekaeva out of a moving car and then returned to the scene to cover up the body.
