Murder suspect named after woman, 90, found dead

A murder suspect has been named after a woman was found dead at a house.

Merseyside Police were called to Bolde Way in Spital just after 11.20am on Tuesday, April 23. The North West Ambulance Service alerted officers after the body of a woman, aged 90, was found in a house. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police later named the victim as Myra Thompson. A 48-year-old man and a 51-year-old woman, both from the Wirral area, were arrested on suspicion of murder.

Detectives have since since charged Jane Hill, 51, of Norwich Drive in Upton with murder and theft. She has been remanded into custody.

The 48-year-old man from Wirral has been released with no further action in relation to the murder, however he remains under investigation for theft, police said.
