His wife Angelina Jolie is a trained pilot and now it looks as though Brad Pitt wants a specialty of his own and the actor looks to be doing exactly that with reports claiming that the star is taking tank driving lessons whilst filming his new movie Fury.

The lessons come as part of his role as an American soldier in David Ayer's World War Two drama.

The movie's producers have reportedly organised the lessons - which take place in Wiltshire and Germany - for Brad and some other cast members so that the battle scenes will be as realistic as possible, according to The Sun.

A source told the newspaper: "These boot camps will involve hardcore physical exercise as well as advanced tank driving."

Famed director Steven Spielberg arranged for something similar when shooting iconic war movie Saving Private Ryan, which starred Tom Hanks and Matt Damon.

Brad plays a Sherman tank commander of a five-man crew of an American tank called Fury in the film, with Transformers star Shia LeBeouf as one of his crew members. The group find themselves behind enemy lines in Nazi Germany in April 1945, when the war is coming to and end.

The movie - which will be filmed in the UK - will start shooting in September in time for a Winter 2014 release date.

It was recently reported that Brad was planning on buying wife - and trained pilot - Angelina a private jet so that the pair can see each other as much as possible whilst he's temporarily based in the UK and she's based in Hawaii directing a new movie.
