Mark 'The Beast' Labbett wants to join 'Strictly Come Dancing'.

The 57-year-old star - who is best known for appearing on ITV's 'The Chase' - is desperate to compete on the BBC dance show, according to his girlfriend Hayley Palmer.

Hayley, 41, told The Sun on Sunday newspaper: "He really wants to do 'Strictly' and I used to be a dancer as well, so I’d be able to help him."

Mark is loving life with Hayley - but the TV star admits that he struggled to read her signals at the start of their romance.

He shared: "I can tell you what the capital of Estonia is - Tallinn - but what does it mean when that pretty girl fires you that funny half-smile? I couldn’t read women with the aid of a road map. I am utterly useless."

The loved-up couple recently spent some time together in the US - where Mark was filming a quiz show - and Hayley admits that she loved the experience.

The TV presenter admitted that they were "just so happy" during their time together in America.

She said: "He invited me to join him.

"He was working hard every day and I was reporting from Hollywood for GB News.

"He’d go off to work and I’d be doing my thing, then he’d come back and we’d go out for dinner. He’d be like ‘Do you want to go somewhere posh?’ and I was like ‘No, let’s just go to the diner and get some cheese toasties, a portion of chips’. We were just so happy."
