Taylor Swift's 'Red' Tour Ticket Sales Decline Following Harry Styles Break-Up Claims

It appears Taylor Swift's fans may not have approved of the singer allegedly dumping boyfriend One Direction this week, with sales of her upcoming 'Red' tour reportedly declining since the news of the break-up broke.

The 'I Knew You Were Trouble' singer is said to have dumped the One Direction cutie during a New Year's holiday in the Caribbean after having what has been described as an "almighty row."

It appears Taylor's actions may have had a negative effect on the sales of her upcoming tour, with ticket-selling site Seatwave noticing a drop in sales since the reports emerged.

However, Harry's band One Direction have actually seen an impressive 50 per cent jump in the last few days. "1D and Taylor Swift are two of the most popular acts in the world and they're consistently among our best-sellers," spokesperson Louise Mullock said in a statement.

"However, the adulation received by 1D is one of a kind, and the boys' fans are famously protective. Since many of Taylor's fans are also 1D fans, she may have bitten off more than she can chew by dividing their loyalties."

Taylor will be kicking off her 'Red' tour on March 13 in Omaha before continuing across the US and Canada and will be supported by Brit Ed Sheeran who coincidentally is close friends with her ex-boyfriend and his bandmates.

Meanwhile, One Direction will begin their 117-date world tour on February 23 at London's O2 Arena.
