Nikita Kuzmin's girlfriend warned him to 'behave' on CBB

Strictly Come Dancing professional Nikita Kuzmin said his model girlfriend warned him to "behave" before he entered the Celebrity Big Brother house.

Kuzmin and Lauren Jaine are believed to have been together since last year and Kuzmin told The Sun that Jaine gave him some advice before he joined the rest of the Celebrity Big Brother line-up.

"She just said behave," said Kuzmin before the show started. "She just said have fun. Obviously I'll miss her. I'll miss my girlfriend, I'll miss my family. I'll miss my cats, I'll miss my friends."

Kuzmin doesn't seem to be up for any major drama and added sweetly that "we have a beautiful relationship so I'll definitely miss her".

Kuzmin made it very clear that he would not be entertaining any sort of romantic connection in the house that could jeopardise his relationship in the outside world.

He said: "People want romances and drama all the time, but we are not doing any of that. I have a beautiful relationship and there is no reason for me to be interested or anything else in anyone."

Kuzmin caught the eye of former Love Island contestant Ekin-Su Culculoglu on Big Brother, with Louis Walsh claiming to have spotted "a budding romance" between the two.

However, Culculoglu knew Kuzmin was in a relationship and he never pursued anything romantic with her during their time in the house prior to her eviction.

Kuzmin, who has been part of the Strictly Come Dancing roster for three years now, said he hoped people would see "a bit more of a normal and weird version of me" on Big Brother.

He reached the Strictly Come Dancing final in 2023 alongside partner Layton Williams, having secured some sky-high marks for their routines together.

Celebrity Big Brother continues on Sunday at 9pm on ITV1.
