A man has been banned from shops and pubs across Nottingham city centre after exposing himself in public and harassing customers and staff. Liam Meenan, aged 39, had also been stealing drinks and was given a Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) which bans him from entering businesses for three years.

This includes pubs and bars such as Revolution, 3 Barrels Drafthouse, Hop Merchant and Royal Children as well as all White Rose shops and Sweaty Betty. Meenan, of no fixed address, will also be unable to enter any McDonald's restaurants and Broadway Cinema.

Nottinghamshire Police said they sought the order following a string of incidents in recent months. The force said Meenan had been stealing drinks, harassing customers and staff, stealing from shops and exposing himself in public.

Under the terms of the order, Meenan is prohibited from being in an state of undress in public, being drunk in a defined part of Nottingham city centre, handling an open vessel of alcohol when in public and staying in any licenced hospitality, retail or any other building premise when asked to leave by staff.

PCSO Solomon Clark said: “We’re delighted to have obtained this criminal behaviour order against Meenan, who has been tormenting a number of businesses and members of the public. A lot of work goes into securing these orders but it is all worth it because they can be extremely effective at preventing this sort of offending.

“By having this order in place, we know that if Meenan continues his poor behaviour he is likely to find himself behind bars."
