One of Wales' biggest Superdrug stores is opening in Cardiff and will have its own hair salon

A huge new Superdrug store is set to open its doors in St David's Shopping Centre on Thursday, July 4, in an 8,210 sq ft premises. The store will be one of the largest Superdrug stores in Wales and will be its fifth to open this year as the retailer continues expanding its bricks-and-mortar retail footprint, with plans to open 25 new stores in 2024 in its 60th year on the British high street.

The new store is creating 22 permanent new jobs, and will offer customers access to the latest health and beauty products, everyday toiletries, beauty treatments and luxury fragrances, such as Superdrug’s own-brand cosmetics range Studio London, as well as other best-selling ranges including B. Skin, Me+, Vitamin E, Optimum and Naturally Radiant.

It will also offer a variety of exclusive beauty and personal care brands too, including products from the likes of Relove by Revolution and MUA, as well as trending brands such as Morphe 2 and Avon. For the latest Cardiff news, sign up to our newsletter here

Shoppers will also be able to find their go-to scent at the store’s new fragrance counter, boasting exciting and purse-friendly promotions on perfume and aftershave by premium brands such as YSL, Viktor & Rolf, Giorgio Armani, Prada and Valentino. Cardiff was the original home of Superdrug’s first ever Beauty Studio and the new St David's store will feature a new and improved Beauty Studio area complete with four hair salon chairs, four nail bars and four lash and eyebrow treatment areas without having to make an appointment.

New nurse clinics will also be available in store, offering services such as travel vaccinations and advice, Shingles, Chickenpox and other vaccinations as well as health testing and checks. Shoppers will also have the chance to sign up to Superdrug’s Health & Beautycard and VIP Rewards to collect points to redeem on future purchases, with exclusive offers available for cardholders, including lower member prices, bonus point offers, birthday treats and the option to pay with points.
