Paddy McGuinness is stepping into Fearne Cotton’s shoes as panel captain on Celebrity Juice, according to reports.

Inbetweeners actress Emily Atack was thought to be in line for the job, after Cotton announced she was departing Keith Lemon’s raunchy game show last December.

A source told The Daily Mirror: “It might seem a shock but he was everyone’s No1.

“When he’s on Celebrity Juice, the ratings shoot up to their highest. Bosses are hoping he will be a ratings winner.”

McGuinness, who hosts ITV dating show Take Me Out, has a long-standing friendship with Lemon, real name Leigh Francis.

The pair made parody series The Keith & Paddy Picture Show together in 2017 and 2018, in which they spoofed their favourite movies.

McGuinness will have a busy year, it seems, having already been signed up with cricket star Andrew ‘Freddie’ Flintoff to join the hosting team on Top Gear for the BBC.

He’ll make his debut on the veteran motoring show later this year.
