Peters told The Hollywood Reporter: “Pamela has never seen her full potential as an artist. She has yet to shine in a real way. There is much more to her than meets the eye, or I wouldn’t love her so much.
“There are beautiful girls everywhere. I could have my pick, but – for 35 years – I’ve only wanted Pamela. She makes me wild – in a good way. She inspires me. I protect her and treat her the way she deserves to be treated.”
Anderson has not commented on the marriage but has shared a number of pictures of herself in white dresses on Instagram accompanied by quotes about love, including one photo captioned: “Love is in the air.”
The actress, model and animal rights campaigner was first married to Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee in 1995 after knowing him for just four days. They remained together for three years, although Lee was charged with assaulting Anderson and they split in 1998. They have two sons, Brandon, 23, and Dylan, 22.
Brandon told Fox News: ‘I’m incredibly happy for my mum and Jon. They’ve known each other for over 35 years and I wish them luck in this next chapter of their lives together. I will support the happy couple however I can and I’m excited to get to know Jon’s family even better.”
Anderson married singer Kid Rock in 2006 and they split up the same year, and then wed film producer Rick Salomon twice between 2007 and 2015.
