You may not have known that Normal People’s Paul Mescal and Young Offenders actors Alex Murphy and Chris Walley are close pals in real life, but you’ll certainly be a fan of their friendship after today.

In a fun video for BBC Three, the cultural sensation and ultimate chain-wearer quizzed his friends as part of the channel's ‘How well do you know me?’ series, and the results are as fun as you’d imagine.

The aim of the game was to test the relationship between Murphy and Walley, with Mescal asking the questions, which included: “‘What was the worst thing that Chris did at school?”

As you can imagine, the answers were pretty hilarious.

Murphy wound up his friend at one point by asking him, “Paul, you are British aren’t you?” in reference to recent media titles referring to the 24-year-old Irish actor as British.

Mescal became friends with Murphy when they met at college in Dublin, while it seems Mescal and Walley now know each other by association.

In a recent interview with The Sun, Murphy confessed: “I know nearly every actor in every scene of Normal People and it’s great to see friends doing so well, especially Paul Mescal.

“I was in a play with him just before lockdown, The Lieutenant of Inishmore, and it was great to work with him just before it all blew up.”

Walley added: “I have so many dodgy photos of us on nights out, I might sell them to the press!”

We think that’s a joke…
