Peter Andre reveals 'favourite' name for daughter that wife Emily has an issue with

Peter Andre revealed his top choice for his daughter's name, but there's a snag. His wife Emily isn't so keen, as the couple are having difficulty deciding on a name for their newborn baby girl.

The couple welcomed their third child earlier this month, marking Pete's fifth time as a dad, and now the pair have only a few weeks left to make their decision and formally register her name.

As the deadline approaches, the Mysterious Girl singer has sought the assistance of his fans on social media in selecting an appropriate name for the youngster, with a cute nickname already decided upon, referring to her as 'bubba'.

A post shared by Pete on Thursday raised further questions. He listed the standout names and disclosed his "number one choice" in the comments to followers, but fell short of receiving Emily's seal of approval reports the Mirror.

It all kicked off when one fan opined: "Olivia is the best name", triggering a response from Peter: "Olivia was my number one choice but Ems not sure."

The 51-year-old then unveiled that two other charming names were contenders for their third child's name. "Athena is also in the running. Not sure how Ems feels about it but I LOVE it", he wrote, "Charlotte is also in the running. I like Charlie."

Before the birth, Peter revealed in his New! Magazine column that he was keen to name the baby after Hollywood star Keanu Reeves, as the name has become increasingly rare over the years.

However, this idea was scrapped when they welcomed a baby girl. Peter confessed that, like their older daughter Millie who was initially named Rose, their new arrival could go weeks without a name. He is considering letting Emily make the final decision.

"We've been trying out names suggested by our friends and family, but Emily and I can't seem to agree. So, it seems only fair that Emily decides I hope she picks a good one", Peter recently admitted. But with Emily recovering from childbirth, the naming process has slowed down.

"We are still no closer to a name for our newest bundle of joy. Any time Emily and I talk about it, it just gets put aside. Since we agreed that Emily would choose, it seems to have slowed down the process even more", he said on 23 April 2024. "She is recovering after all, so I totally get it."
