Police investigate reports of woman assaulting child at Tatton Park play area

Police are investigating an incident at Tatton Park in which a nine-year-old boy is reported to have been assaulted by an adult. The incident is reported to have taken place at the child's play park at the popular tourist destination in Knutsford.

Officers say they received reports on March 30 at 3.45pm of an assault on a nine-year-old boy at Tatton Park. Officers attended and located all parties.

As a result of the investigation a woman has been interviewed under caution and enquiries are on-going to establish the full circumstances.

PC John Millman said: “The park was very busy that day with lots of visitors. I’m very keen to hear from anyone who was there that day in the play park around 3.45pm and saw any incident between a boy and a female.”
