Police looking to trace man who allegedly exposed himself to women at Aberdeenshire beach

Police in Aberdeenshire are looking to trace a man who allegedly indecently exposed himself to a group of three women at Balmedie Beach.

Officers are appealing for information after receiving a report of the incident which occurred at around 10.30pm on Monday, July 1.

The man is said to have exposed himself to the women near to the beach's main car park.

He is described as being white, in his mid-forties, of a medium build, and having short dark hair.

At the time he was wearing a plain black t-shirt and carrying a dark coloured item, which police say could be shorts or a towel, over his right arm with a Lucozade bottle in his left hand.

Officers are now urging anyone with information or who may have been in the area, or those who may have seen a man fitting the description hanging around the beach on other occasions to get in touch.

Sergeant Leah McKinnon said: "We are appealing to anyone who was in the area and may have seen this man to get in touch.

"We would also like to speak to anyone who may have seen a man fitting this description hanging around the beach area on other occasions.

"Officers will be carrying out additional patrols in the area and we urge anyone with concerns to speak to them."
