Police stop M6 driver and can't believe their eyes when they check vehicle history

Police were left appalled after stopping a driver on the M6 and checking the vehicle's history. The VW was pulled over on the motorway near Hilton in Staffordshire.

And when officers looked into details about the car's MOT history, they found it was not safe to be on the road. Not only that, the motor had a massive 17 defects flagged up on its history, 15 of them major and one dangerous.

They included faults which required immediate attention and cause an MOT to be failed. That means it is has been designated as unsafe to drive on the roads until the issues are fixed.

To cap it off, the driver also had no insurance and his car was seized by police. The Central Motorway Policing Group, which patrols the motorways in the West Midlands, shared details of the incident on X.

They posted: "We've removed this dangerous car from the M6, Hilton. The driver not only had no insurance, the MOT history also proved an interesting read.

"MOT defects: 1x dangerous, 15x major, 1x minor."
