A pregnant woman was verbally assaulted at an Underground station on the Essex border after asking a man to "mind what he was doing", police said. Detectives are investigating a report of man threatening women on board a London Underground service at Barking.

At around 10.45pm on 26 May, the victims were heading eastbound on the district line when a man sat down and knocked into one of them, a pregnant woman. The man spilt a drink down himself.

The woman told the man to mind what he was doing. He then became abusive towards her and another woman, making threats towards them and shouting derogatory comments at them both.
